To
mark 25 years of developing software and working with
the likes of Naf
Naf, Lancel and Guess, a
new corporate identity is about to be unveiled,
in conjunction with several new product launches
in 2006 aimed at larger retailers.
A completely
new release of business
intelligence software is planned
for June. The solution, called
Colombus BI, will allow the analysis of large volumes
of data, giving up-to-the-minute information on
assortment planning, replenishment and in-store
customer profiling and will feature personalised
dashboards, alerts and KPIs for greater ease of
use.
A next generation EPOS solution called Be
Store,
which goes on release from September, is being
targeted at large speciality retail chains including
department stores and superstores. With increasing
demand for wireless applications, CRM and mobile
technology, the new solution focuses more heavily
on customer service, including the ability to carry
out product look-ups or price changes from anywhere
in a store. It is being developed in line with
Wincor Nixdorf’s latest point-of-sale solution
TP.Net, and Microsoft’s .Net
technology.
Other VCSTIMELESS mobile and queue-busting solutions
will be on display in a ‘FuturStore’ area
of their stand, such as the use of biometrics and
fingerprint scanning for increased staff security.
Also
on show, with a commercial release date set for
October, is Colombus.next, a supply
chain optimisation solution. The software, aimed at medium to large
speciality retailers, includes merchandise, store
and warehouse inventory planning tools which offer
on-demand stock calculations, forecasting, lead
time calculation, supplier management and sales
performance analysis. It has been developed with
Microsoft’s latest technologies: .Net, web
services, Microsoft Vista (open architecture).
Enhancements have also been made to its existing
retail portfolio, Colombus head-office
solution and Colombus
Retail 7.0 point of sale solution,
which include advanced modules for franchising,
pricing and promotions for small to medium sized
retailers.
On the hospitality side, VcsTimeless
will be demonstrating its VENPoS solution, with
one of its UK clients,
Deep Sea Leisure, speaking during the conference
about using its technology to build loyalty and
offer tailored promotions.
