VCSTIMELESS showcases Europe’s first retail management solution developed on Windows Vista at Retail Solutions 2007 |

2007 – VCSTIMELESS, European
software solutions providers to
the speciality retail sector, will be showcasing
the latest modules of its supply
chain optimisation solution; Colombus.next,
and advanced retail business intelligence and store
solution applications at this
year’s Retail
Solutions exhibition taking place
5th-7th June.
VCSTIMELESS will be unveiling the latest
version of its recently released supply chain
optimisation and decision-support
solution, Colombus
next, which has been developed on Microsoft’s
latest technologies; Windows Vista, Microsoft
Office 2007, .net 2.0 and 3.0 and
service oriented architecture. Aimed particularly
at managing directors, purchasing, supply chain,
store and logistics directors, Colombus.next combines
purchasing, sales and logistics best practices
into a single software application. The solution
allows retailers to define buying budgets,
build store, assortment and product plans,
calculate accurate forecasts and optimise inventory
and replenishment across the entire supply
chain, calculating ideal stock levels for the
store and distribution centre. Currently rolling
out Colombus.next is
the giant Swiss fashion retailer, Tally
Weijl, who operates 300 stores across
Europe. |

Also on show is its next
generation EPOS solution, BeStore, developed for
department stores and large
speciality retail chains. BeStore is an innovative,
open and robust solution based on Wincor
Nixdorf’s
TP.net with value-added CRM and customer service
functionalities developed by VCSTIMELESS for specilaity
retailers, including alterations, reservations
and customer account management, and after sales
service.
VCSTIMELESS will also be demonstrating
Colombus
Business Intelligence; an end-to-end decision
support
and analytical software solution which has been
pre-configured for the retail industry and includes
functions such as data warehousing, data analysis
and reporting.
New for 2007 is the VCSTIMELESS international
lab which features local configurations of the
Colombus
Retail point of sale solution; translated
and localised in more than 15 different languages
including Russian, Chinese and Japanese, including
country-specific software features, hardware, currency,
EFT, VAT and fiscal printers.
Visitors will once
again be able to visit the VCSTIMELESS FutureStore;
a showcase of the latest
in-store technologies, software, hardware and marketing
concepts all integrated to and operated by the
VCSTIMELESS store solution ranges. Including RFID,
mobile and queue busting solutions, intelligent
cash counting and biometrics for an enhanced shopping
experience, increased customer loyalty and increased
sales turnover.
VCSTIMELESS client, international
fashion retailer, Castro,
will be sharing its experiences of the
challenges of expanding overseas, from business
process review to the role of IT in an international
organisation at the Retail Solutions
seminars.
Castro has over 100 stores
