European software
solutions provider
to the non-food speciality retail sector, VCSTIMELESS announces a turnover of €11M for the first
semester of 2005. This is a 20% increase on the
same period last year. With significant progress
in software sales in Spain and an impressive list
of new prestigious clients such as Guess, Yohji
Yamamoto, Sara Lee, Opticiens du Conseil, Les Murs
ont la Parole, Ventilo, Madelios, Encuentro Moda
and Yamamay, VCSTIMELESS puts its success down to
its ambitious international development strategy
and its choice of technology. Michel Ramis, CEO
VCSTIMELESS, comments, “This growth reflects
our continuing commitment to our strategy of internationalisation,
allowing us to overcome the uncertainties of the
French market and reduce the risks associated with
depending on a single country. This growth also
positions us today as the only European software
provider in our domain who can truly provide local
support to retailers expanding abroad, from China
to the United States, from the Middle East to Eastern
Europe.”
These results are attributed in part
to the record development of the Spanish subsidiary
which signed
numerous Iberian retailers such as 13 buho st (50
stores), Karlettin (50 stores), Sara Lee Spain (100
stores), Mundo Kitti, In Situ (100 stores) and Encuentro
Moda (50 stores). VCSTIMELESS also acquired new customers
in France such as Yohji Yamamoto, Gérard Darel,
Georges Rech, Les Opticiens du Conseil, Ventilo and
Madelios France. The Company’s ability to support
retailers as they expand across Europe and indeed
the world is a key strength. Because VCSTIMELESS can
offer local support, many retailers have selected
the Colombus retail suite for their international
operations, notably Yamamay, an Italian lingerie retailer
with more than 250 stores which is expanding into
Eastern Europe, Orchestra (more than 300 stores) which
is entering the Chinese market, Anne Fontaine who
is extending it’s retail activities across the
US, Ganthy Royal who is expanding to the Réunion
Island, Taljy Weijl (200 stores worldwide) and Guess
in Italy. These results, in France and in Europe,
reinforce the company’s technological choices,
new services organisation and its value-added approach.
During
this first semester, VCSTIMELESS has also won various
awards. VCSTIMELESS and Lancel (international
retailers of luxury travel goods) won Project
Implementation of the Year at the European
Retail Solutions Awards 2005. VCSTIMELESS was also shortlisted at the Global
Retail Technology Awards in the Store
Innovation category for its mobile store project for the Tour
de France. (a project which has been running for
3 consecutive years)
Michel Ramis, CEO VCSTIMELESS,
concludes, “Technologically,
the next semester looks very promising. Our R&D
teams are currently working in close collaboration
with Orchestra and Tally Weijl who will shortly
be rolling out Colombus.next, offering the latest
Microsoft .net technology. We are also working
with Caroll on some FutureStore initiatives using
the latest hardware, software and marketing concepts.
In addition, we are currently working on a project
called OPERA to develop a completely new point
of sale solution in partnership with Wincor Nixdorf.
All these major developments will be available
for sale over the coming months and will allow
us to conquer new areas of the market and to further
increase our leadership in Europe.”
