LONDON invests in Colombus as basis of future expansion
OSPREY
LONDON, the luxury leather goods brand with a store
in St Albans and a long-established wholesale
offer through major retailers such as John Lewis
and House of Fraser, has selected the Colombus and
Colombus Retail solutions from VCSTIMELESS to support
their future expansion.
As part of the company’s overall development
strategy, its Managing Director and Designer, Graeme
Ellisdon, will raise the retail profile of the brand
with a carefully controlled programme of store and
outlet openings within the UK over the next five years.
This autumn will see the first OSPREY LONDON outlet
store opening at York Designer Outlet. With a loyal
and growing customer base, the company’s developing
online business www.ospreylondon.com will also be
further boosted later this autumn by a move into mail
order.

This is a very exciting time for us, with a move into
both outlet and mail order to support the growth and
evolution of our brands,” says Graeme Ellisdon.
In order to help OSPREY LONDON facilitate this
growth, they needed a transparent replenishment
and EPoS system
that would allow them to service each of these channels
efficiently and with total visibility of their stock
situation at any one time. They took the decision
to invest in the Colombus
Enterprise Suite because
it is a fully integrated, multi-channel retail management
system that will enable the team to work with their
diverse international suppliers to ensure greater
cost-effectiveness within the re-ordering process
and also to future-proof the business in the long
term.
